You don’t have to quit your job and start a new business, but you do have to start thinking of owning your own future—become more entrepreneurial in your thoughts and actions. Brown stresses that these actions must be in the form of small steps, like a birdhouse builder selling at a local craft fair on the weekends before considering opening up a store. You learn from it, build upon it, and then repeat again. This way, Brown assures, you’ll be able to control your future.
